Yesterday we took the shortcut from the tube station, to avoid the traffic, and the city’s sirens.

Everytime I hear them, I remember of our agent – answering my question: And you, where do you live ?

- I live in the countryside, so that my children don’t hear the sound of sirens everyday.

Humans adjust & adapt to their surroundings & that is the most admiring.

Put me in a can & i can build a castle.

I recall my brother saying that the real impression, is the one you acquire at the first glance -

everything that follows is a distortion of your first impression.

This is when you should really activate your feelings – in the first moments.

On an island of 500 people, everything readjusts to minimum.

Existenzminimum.

Residents look at you as if you just arrived from the future &

you look at them as part of the basics:

sky, sun & sea.

How much more do you really need ?

Yesterday we took the shortcut from the tube, found a yellow ball and started kicking it.

The alley was dark & people walked along.

We passed bars & main roads & once in a while, someone joined in for a kick.

The city was transformed into a playground – and strangers didn’t look like strangers anymore.

Being far from home, you set your mind to the configuration ‘what i miss the most’ – and without having to think about it, things pop up. And, this is how you know.

It can be a first dish in a restaurant, the smell of your favourite shoe store, the memory of a place.

If for Diderot ‘tout ce que nous avons vu, connu, apercu, entendu -tout cela existe en nous a notre insu’ - then memories may take over without the memory of an input.

Building my future with nows, I count on the things incribed, somewhere else, than where I can reach with my [own] eyes. The power of sharing & the ‘Make me Better’ workshops.

It is all about the common in the end, no ?

She comes from Greece. She has a thirst for knowledge.

Make me better or Make me happier. ?

On the way to the gym,

a group of people was staring at a house,

speaking in spanish. A girl showed something to a boy,

I turned my head along.

So sad, she said, it has no roof.

And there it was. A house with a piece of fabric for a ceiling

and wooden planks behind its broken windows.

Cladded with cotton. Clothed.

Sometimes houses can be as vulnerable as dresses,

and in some cases as the inhabitants themselves.

Balzac has described it thoroughly in the Human Comedy;

as in the Old Maid and the grey house of Mademoiselle Cormon

that was a perfect portrait of her emotional life.
